About
The rescue was established in 2018 by founder Kerry Bonnici, with the intention of helping dogs reach their ‘Forever Homes’. We have a team of foster families who help save our beautiful dogs and puppies.
The dogs we rescue are from dire situations such as abandonment or ‘death row’ within the pound system. We have relationships with various country pounds, we also accept surrendered dogs, unwanted puppies, and assist with spaying females after litters.
We pick up litters from Breeders that can’t sell them, whose environments are not always ideal, and we rescue these dogs that alternately would have been dumped or euthanized. Most of the time we collect the last dogs in the pound without prejudice, we accept any dog at any age, size, breed, or condition.
We do not limit the time our foster dogs remain in care; we do not spare any expense on Veterinary care (desex, vaccinated, etc.) and they are provided beds and toys and the best diet we can attain.

A big part of our community is the engagement and support we get through our social media channels. We’ve had countless situations where someone has adopted an Australian K9 dog and subsequently their friends or family have then done the same!
Social media such as Facebook allows us to communicate and share our dogs’ journeys, from a sad face at the pound through to them flourishing at their forever homes months later.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely heavily on fundraising efforts and donations to allow us to provide the best care, for as many dogs as possible.
We have set up a Paypal ‘Giving’ fund, which ensures 100% of your donation goes towards the support, medical expenses, and care for our rescue dogs.
